Rebates and Incentives
Rebates are only available to Colorado residents who purchase a whole-house energy monitor for a residential building. The energy monitor must meet a minimum purchase price of $100. Single appliance monitors do not qualify for the rebate. Residential customers are defined as residential homeowners, renters and landlords. A residential building is defined as any building used solely as living quarters containing four (4) or fewer dwelling units, three stories or under above grade, that does not have a centralized mechanical system serving multiple units. Applications are limited to one rebate per product category per household. Rebates are available until funds are exhausted. By applying for a rebate and receiving an approval confirmation, rebate funds are reserved for the applicant. The applicant has 45 days from the date of reservation to complete the energy monitor installation and 52 days from the date of reservation to mail the required paperwork. If each of the program requirements is not satisfied, the applicant gives up rights to the rebate and those rebate funds will no longer be available to the applicant. The rights to a rebate or a rebate application may not be transferred or sold. Requests from local governments, non-profits and new home construction will not be honored. Approved rebate applications will receive a rebate check. Checks will only be mailed to a PO Box if a physical street address is provided. No term or condition of this contract shall be construed or interpreted as a waiver, express or implied, of any immunities, rights, benefits, protections, or other provisions, of the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act, CRS §24-10-101 et seq., or Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C. §§1346 (b) and 2671 et seq., as applicable now or hereafter amended. Fraud of any type could result in federal prosecution under the US mail fraud statutes. Any misrepresentation or fraudulent information disqualifies the rebate and may give rise to criminal or civil prosecution. The Governor’s Energy Office, State of Colorado and their partners are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, illegible, misdirected or postage-due applications. All rebates shall be governed by applicable state and federal laws. Resolution of any disputes will be governed by Colorado law. The Governor’s Energy Office reserves the right to verify compliance with these terms, including but not limited to, a physical site review. The rebate value is 40% of the job cost up to $100. If 40% of the job cost is greater than $100, the rebate will be $100. All terms, conditions and rules of the program are subject to change. Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for delivery of the rebate. If you have not received your rebate check 6 weeks after submission, you may visit www.RechargeColorado.com or call 1-800-462-0184.
